Desiree LaVigne-Roan, Director
Desiree is a former soloist with Ballet Oklahoma and has over 25 years professional dance experience as a dance educator. She completed her formal dance education in Ft. Worth, Texas with the Southwest Ballet Center and embarked on a performance career upon her graduation.
She has studied with such ballet legends as Madame Nathalie Krassovska, Madame Yvonne Chouteau and Kirov Prima ballerina, Irina Kolpakova. She has served numerous dance companies and schools as teacher, choreographer and director. Upon returning to Oklahoma, she established the Academy of DANCE Arts and it now serves 200 students. Currently, she is a member of the Mustang and Yukon Chambers of Commerce and serves as a roster artist for the Oklahoma State Arts Council’s Artist-in-Residency Program.
